Who are we

The Parish of Chilham is very lucky to have an excellent Recreation Ground and Sports Centre for hire thanks to the efforts of several local villagers in the past.  From July 2013 it's future use is protected under the Queen Elisabeth II Fields Challenge in conjunction with the National Playing Fields Association.

     * Chilham Parish Recreation Ground Trust (CPRGT) has been set up as a Charitable Trust responsible for the care, maintenance and improvement of the Recreation Ground, Tennis Courts, Children's Play Area and Sports Centre in Branch Road, Chilham.
    * We are all volunteers from the local area.  If you have some spare time to help run this excellent facility please get in touch.

    * Our only income is from hiring fees, donations and the popular 100 Plus Club which is a fundraising lottery for the Sports Centre. Participants are allocated individual numbers and there is a weekly draw for cash prizes of £50, £15 and £10. The chances of winning are much greater than the National Lottery and it is an excellent way of supporting the Centre. Winners are published every week in the local paper and application forms and more details available from Chilham Post Office or via the Contact section of this site.
